This component drives the agitator inside the solids bin and is made from 33% glass-filled nylon—a high-strength, durable material designed to withstand regular composting use.

Failures are uncommon but may occur under high torque stress, typically caused by overly wet medium or the use of incorrect materials. Older welded agitator models may also be more prone to cog wear. Stainless steel agitator assembly NOT INCLUDED.

We are currently refining the torque profile to further improve performance and reduce long-term stress on this component. While manufacturing this piece in metal would be cost-prohibitive, our improvements are focused on long-lasting reliability.
