I am currently doing van life in the city and can use public toilets often, but on the rare occasion (and at night time) I don’t have somewhere to go. OGO had the most cost friendly option for a portable compost toilet which is why I went for it. Since it’s just me and I use it less than someone fully nomadic, I can empty the fluid jug every 5-6 days or so. When doing our research we came across OGO and knew the Nomad was the one we must have. It’s a simple, complete unit that you can use anywhere. The quality and construction exceeded our expectations. The unit is heavy duty, very comfortable to use and simple to dispose of waste. The added alarm on the urinal is an unexpected bonus. We added a little height by setting the unit on some foam board inside of a plastic tub. This also gives enough storage in the back to put the spray bottle and compost. The staff gets five stars as well! They were prompt, courteous and informative when answering our questions. This is a top notch company! I have used a thetford 320p for 6 years and although it is a great toilet I was tired of emptying the cassette and having to use chemicals and special toilet paper. When I saw this toilet was almost identical in size I was excited to give it a try. My van has a cabinet/ottoman that was built around the thetford so using a bigger unit wasn’t an option. This arrived yesterday and with a few minor adjustments it is fitted securely in its new spot. I haven’t had a chance to use it yet but I easily placed the bag in the clips and set the urine valve in place, I poured several cups of water and it drained perfectly into the container. Thanks OGO team for coming up with an option for a very compact toilet, the material is solid and though small feels very sturdy. I hope to report back in a few month to give a real use updated review.","products":[{"image":"https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0804/6542/8762/files/FrontView-GreyLid.png?v=1706648288","productLink":"https://ogotoilet.com/products/nomad-portable-composting-toilet","title":"OGO Nomad - Best Portable Composting Toilet for Camping","handle":"nomad-portable-composting-toilet"}],"firstName":"Lisa","createdAt":"2023-11-30T20:51:06.900Z","rate":5,"productIds":[8496742138138],"countryCode":"US","hasImages":true,"shopDomain":"23143b.myshopify.com","helpful":0,"verifyBuyer":false,"status":"approved","pinned":false,"isFeatured":false,"id":"K5hsj5vTPBATpkZ4KjFe","isProductExists":true}],"popReviews":[],"carouselReviews":[{"variants":[],"firstName":"Geoffrey Brindle ","lastName":"","images":["https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/air-reviews.appspot.com/o/submitReview%2FHT2lQtbgSVUF74B7lCwi%2F1737579580364_1000000934.webp?alt=media&token=90b77822-08e7-4fb7-9e72-cff0b9376935"],"rate":5,"content":"So far so great! When doing our research we came across OGO and knew the Nomad was the one we must have. It’s a simple, complete unit that you can use anywhere. The quality and construction exceeded our expectations. The unit is heavy duty, very comfortable to use and simple to dispose of waste. The added alarm on the urinal is an unexpected bonus. We added a little height by setting the unit on some foam board inside of a plastic tub. This also gives enough storage in the back to put the spray bottle and compost. The staff gets five stars as well! They were prompt, courteous and informative when answering our questions. This is a top notch company! You won’t go wrong ordering an OGO!","products":[{"image":"https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0804/6542/8762/files/FrontView-GreyLid.png?v=1706648288","productLink":"https://ogotoilet.com/products/nomad-portable-composting-toilet","title":"OGO Nomad - Best Portable Composting Toilet for Camping","handle":"nomad-portable-composting-toilet"}],"firstName":"Ed & Nadine - Together Somewhere","createdAt":"2023-12-29T00:46:29.652Z","rate":5,"productIds":[8496742138138],"countryCode":"US","hasImages":true,"shopDomain":"23143b.myshopify.com","helpful":0,"verifyBuyer":false,"status":"approved","pinned":false,"isFeatured":false,"id":"YGxHbP4sEWTr3sSyGrF4","isProductExists":true},{"lastName":"","images":["https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/air-reviews.appspot.com/o/submitReview%2FHT2lQtbgSVUF74B7lCwi%2F1701377280765_IMG_7146.webp?alt=media&token=bbe84bb6-3e92-4450-aedb-289c2393fb79","https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/air-reviews.appspot.com/o/submitReview%2FHT2lQtbgSVUF74B7lCwi%2F1701377280766_IMG_7150.webp?alt=media&token=2ff19608-5c70-4acd-b87a-6d771ef65ce6","https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/air-reviews.appspot.com/o/submitReview%2FHT2lQtbgSVUF74B7lCwi%2F1701377280766_IMG_7148.webp?alt=media&token=29c097dd-9044-4c26-bc7e-070580bfe42f","https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/air-reviews.appspot.com/o/submitReview%2FHT2lQtbgSVUF74B7lCwi%2F1701377280766_IMG_7149.webp?alt=media&token=d1e5a70d-58a3-409d-b125-9fc58c088bbb","https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/air-reviews.appspot.com/o/submitReview%2FHT2lQtbgSVUF74B7lCwi%2F1701377280766_IMG_7147.webp?alt=media&token=51825ff7-b924-4f33-a79c-974ae2b8c091","https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/air-reviews.appspot.com/o/submitReview%2FHT2lQtbgSVUF74B7lCwi%2F1701377280766_IMG_7161.webp?alt=media&token=8ba079f0-25f3-40c7-8f9a-8602def78515","https://firebasestorage.googleapis.com/v0/b/air-reviews.appspot.com/o/submitReview%2FHT2lQtbgSVUF74B7lCwi%2F1701377280766_IMG_7157.webp?alt=media&token=d865f246-3e9b-4240-b3a3-46cd6e9c0fa4"],"notHelpful":0,"source":"Writed by customer","content":"I am so excited to be a recipient of the first batch of this mini OGO. I have used a thetford 320p for 6 years and although it is a great toilet I was tired of emptying the cassette and having to use chemicals and special toilet paper. When I saw this toilet was almost identical in size I was excited to give it a try. My van has a cabinet/ottoman that was built around the thetford so using a bigger unit wasn’t an option. This arrived yesterday and with a few minor adjustments it is fitted securely in its new spot. I haven’t had a chance to use it yet but I easily placed the bag in the clips and set the urine valve in place, I poured several cups of water and it drained perfectly into the container. Thanks OGO team for coming up with an option for a very compact toilet, the material is solid and though small feels very sturdy. I hope to report back in a few month to give a real use updated review.","products":[{"image":"https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0804/6542/8762/files/FrontView-GreyLid.png?v=1706648288","productLink":"https://ogotoilet.com/products/nomad-portable-composting-toilet","title":"OGO Nomad - Best Portable Composting Toilet for Camping","handle":"nomad-portable-composting-toilet"}],"firstName":"Lisa","createdAt":"2023-11-30T20:51:06.900Z","rate":5,"productIds":[8496742138138],"countryCode":"US","hasImages":true,"shopDomain":"23143b.myshopify.com","helpful":0,"verifyBuyer":false,"status":"approved","pinned":false,"isFeatured":false,"id":"K5hsj5vTPBATpkZ4KjFe","isProductExists":true}],"hasNextAllReviewsPage":true,"currency":"USD"};

While we weren’t unhappy with the old unit, the OGO caught our eye as perhaps a better option. The install was straight forward, although we did add the urine diverter option with the OGO. After over a month of traveling with the OGO, we are very pleased with the product and are glad we made the switch.
